Description

As a Software Engineer Intern , you will work closely with our development team to design, develop, and deploy software solutions. This internship provides hands-on experience in software development, coding best practices, and exposure to real-world engineering challenges. One of your key responsibilities will be assisting with the installation and validation of custom firmware on credit card terminals, gaining practical experience with hardware integration and quality assurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and validate payment terminal firmware.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and cross-functional teams on various development projects.
  • Write, test, and maintain code for software applications.
  • Debug and resolve technical issues, optimizing performance and efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.
  • Assist in documentation and software design discussions.
  • Learn and apply new technologies in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Diagnose returned payment terminals to identify hardware and software issues.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, JavaScript, NodeJS or C++.
  • Understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with web or mobile development frameworks.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS & Azure.
  • Exposure to databases (MySQL) and RESTful APIs.
