ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM: The Washington D.C. Local News team at TelevisaUnivision is looking for a Multimedia Journalist to join our team! We are seeking a creative journalist who can work across all our dynamic platforms and engage our viewers and online users daily. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled, a self-starter, and capable of producing, shooting, and editing stories. This role involves working as a one-person operation, responsible for presenting accurate, balanced news stories for multiple outlets. The candidate must work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY: Reporting, shooting, and editing video news stories Gathering information and conducting interviews on assigned stories daily Posting videos, pictures, and stories to our website and social media outlets Maintaining strong familiarity with local, national, and international news and issues Establishing and maintaining news contacts in the community Performing other duties as necessary YOU HAVE: Minimum one year of newsroom experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience BA degree in communication, journalism, television broadcasting, or equivalent preferred Experience with social media, live shots, and engaging viewers with sights and sounds Fluency in Spanish (reading and writing) Flexibility to work different shifts as required OUR BENEFITS: At TelevisaUnivision, we believe a happy, well-balanced employee fosters a thriving culture.
