Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic professional to join our Commercial Banking team, specializing in Real Estate Structured Finance Lending (RE SFL). This role is responsible for managing an assigned credit portfolio by monitoring financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, structuring client credit solutions, and ensuring sound credit underwriting in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the performance and trends of an assigned portfolio of commercial real estate clients.
• Research and analyze complex credit investigations and evaluate diverse credit information for new and existing loans.
• Underwrite, structure, and document prospective and existing client transactions with attention to risk, returns, and compliance.
• Approve credit reviews and renewals for assigned clients within designated approval authority.
• Identify issues in client performance and develop effective remediation strategies.
• Collaborate with internal partners to support comprehensive client solutions and drive process improvements.
• Evaluate and propose enhancements to underwriting processes and credit policies.
• Exercise independent judgment in resolving moderately complex credit scenarios and make sound recommendations.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients to facilitate effective deal execution and portfolio management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in commercial loan underwriting, portfolio administration, and credit decision-making.
• Experience with large or complex commercial loan portfolios.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and commercial credit policies.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Deep understanding of commercial real estate lending and structured finance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proven experience in evaluating credit risk and structuring financial transactions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, credit systems, and tools used in commercial banking.
