Description We are looking for a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our team in San Francisco, California. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in civil litigation defense within a collaborative and supportive environment. Responsibilities: - Manage a diverse caseload, taking primary responsibility for cases based on your level of experience. - Represent clients during court appearances, depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings. - Conduct legal research and prepare motions, briefs, and other necessary documentation. - Handle discovery processes, including drafting and responding to interrogatories and requests for production. - Collaborate with clients to provide regular updates and address legal concerns. - Prepare for trials, including pre-trial motions and strategy development. - Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations to advocate for client interests. - Work closely with partners and other team members to ensure high-quality case management. - Maintain effective use of case management and document management software. - Stay current with legal trends and developments to enhance expertise. Requirements - Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. - Active bar admission in the state of California. - At least 2 years of experience in civil litigation or a related legal field. - Proficiency in legal research, drafting motions, and preparing briefs. - Skilled in using case management and document management software. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions and team collaboration. - Ability to handle multiple cases effectively and meet deadlines. - Experience with trial preparation and courtroom procedures preferred.
